Created my first Treasury!!!!! So exciting

Wow!! I'm so excited that I was able to create and get listed my first Treasury ever. It was pretty easy after I checked out the forums and got some really good tips and hints. First before I share my treasury let me share how I was able to get it:

• created my treasury list and editted it and designed it with Poster Sketch Etsy. ( this tool made it so easy to see how your treasury is going to look)
• I then went to Treasury West (as I thought that it would probably be easier to get on) I just sat and waited for the number of lists to drop below 222 and magically when the number dropped to 221 a box opened and I was able to create my treasury.

New Baby Renee

Ok here she is! This is my beautiful new grandaughter born on Wednesday February 17, 2010. She weighs 9lbs, 3 ozs, and 21 1/2 inches long. Her proud parents are (my son) Jason and Brandy.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Ok I have been telling you why February is so memorable for me. Well today is another important event in my Life. 22 years ago on February 14, 1988 my husband and I got married. We had a small ceremony in my mom's home surrounded by our closest friends and family. It was a truly amazing way to celebrate Valentine's Day. Ok I'm the romantic one. For my husband it just meant 1 less gift to buy. lol.
We spent the day by going out for breakfast. Our weekly treat for ourselves, and then came home and I spent most of the afternoon on the computer while he caught up on some much needed rest. Although I have to say he did take the time to take some pictures of my jewelry for me so I could post them on Etsy. He's very supportive of my jewelry making and helps me out with the pictures (he doesn't think I do a very good job. lol) He also helps me with craft shows that I do during the year if he's not at work. So all in all it was a very good Valentine's Day and Anniversary because we spent the day doing what we enjoy. Who could ask for more.

Continuation of why February is so special

Ok here it is February 8, 2010 and it is a very memorable day for me. 30 years ago I gave birth to my son Jason, the pride and joy of my life. As I sit here, I can't help but wonder where the time has gone. Our children grow up so fast, and then they are these adults, and then you become frightened because they no longer need you. I'm happy and proud for the man he has become, but I miss the days when he looked to me for help and guidance. He is waiting any day now for the birth of his first child, my first grandchild, and I know that he is going to love and nurture his daughter the same way that I did him. So Jason, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON, I love you.

Why February is such a great Month for me

I sure everyone has one month of the year that they consider to be their special month. Well February is my special month. It seems as though every good memorable event in my life has happened this month. Let's start with today February 4th. (well it's actually the 5th as I sit here pondering) but February 4th is my stepson Brad's birthday. He turned 27 years old. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAD. I am very proud of Brad as he is serving in the United States Air Force.

Ok, I'm going to stop here for tonight, however the month is just starting and I have quite a few more memorable events that I can't wait to share.

Let me tell you alittle bit about me. I have always had my hands into some type of craft, whether it was sewing, knitting, cross stitching or painting. I was always doing something to fill up my time since I was disabled and unable to work. About 7 years ago I was introduced to the world of jewelry making by my stepson. He broke a favorite necklace that he had purchased at a local pow-wow and asked if I could repair it for him. Well I went to the local craft store to buy the necessary materials to fix his necklace and totally enjoyed the process. Next thing you know I was back at the store again buying more beads and baubles and creating jewelry for myself, friends and family. I was soon so addicted to making jewelry that I had to start selling my finished pieces so I could go buy more supplies to create more. Over the course of time, I have gone from Stringing beads to more advanced levels of bead stitching to working with wire and gemstones creating One of a kind sculpted jewelry.
